Comfortable in my socks

Puppet theatre in a day care centre

Comfortable in my socks is a short form of sock puppet theatre around the issue of gender stereotypes. Initiated by anthropologist Amélie Normandin and musician Gabrielle Marquis as part of the “J’inviterai l’enfance” project in the Brome-Missisquoi region, the project was built around workshops for toddlers aged 3 to 5. Nourished by their research, author Simon Fournier proposed a reflection on the subject through 6 sock characters, directed by Sandy Bessette. This first experience with early childhood is a promising one for Amélie and Gabrielle!
