Clownish object manipulation show for toddlers aged 3 and up
Yggdrasil is a short, clownish object manipulation performance for toddlers aged 3 and up. Between a screen, a metal trunk, and a few suitcases sits a coat rack, Yggdrasil, the tree symbolizing the genesis of the world.
Two boys play with figures, recounting Norse myths, where the figurines are powerful gods and the plush toys are gargantuan monsters. From the celestial realm of Asgard to the icy lands of Neifleheim, by way of the seas of Midgard, Odin – father of all – seeks to prevent the end of the world.
In a landscape of eternal winter, they enact Ragnarök.
